As a teacher, I’ve taught drum lessons to many students on the South Shore, in Boston, and in New York City over the years.
I accept students of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced students wondering what the next step is.
In the lessons, we will discuss what YOUR goals are and what kind of music is inspiring to YOU. As we work toward these goals, I employ many tried-and-true methods and materials to provide you with a solid foundation of skills and knowledge on the drums so that you can flourish as a player.

Some frequently asked questions:
Where and when do you teach lessons?
I teach out of my studio located in Hingham, Massachusetts.
Do you teach in-home lessons?
I’m willing to travel to provide lessons at an additional cost, based on distance and travel time. However, my studio is set up to provide students with the best possible learning environment.
Do you teach lessons to younger children?
Absolutely! There is no better time to take music lessons than as a child, and countless studies have proven early musical instruction to be profoundly beneficial to a child’s development.
How often should a student take lessons?
I’ve found weekly lessons to be the best to maintain momentum. However, some students opt to study bi-weekly.
What are your rates?
Drum lessons are $30/half hour, or $50/hour. “Packages” of four or more lessons are available at discount, however.
What do I need to bring to lessons?
There are several method books that I use with my students, which they will need to purchase and bring with them. These methods are invaluable tools to the drumming community, and endorsed by the greatest drummers in the world. Students should also have a notebook, and of course their drumsticks!
Do you teach group classes?
I can take more than one student within the same time slot for a discount. However, students get less individual attention, so I typically recommend a 1-on-1 format.
Do you provide a “trial” lesson?
Yes, first-time students receive a free trial lesson!
